Since 2012, our youth development NGO, YouthAid-Liberia has work to educate, empower, and elevate local young people in Montserrado, Bong and Margibi counties through youth development and community empowerment projects, sexual and reproductive health rights and drug policy education and substance abuse awareness for peers, civic advocacy on elections with vote reached and first-time voters, peacebuilding initiatives and democracy/human rights advocacy. Our projects have had a partnership or technical supports from NAYMOTE-Partners for Democratic Development, International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES Liberia), Population Service International (PSI Liberia), the U.S. Embassy in Monrovia, UNODC, IDPC, PeaceDirect (InsightOnConflict), National Elections of Commission of Liberia (NEC), USAID Liberia, Liberia Immunization Platform (LIP), GAVI Alliance, Catholic Relief Services Liberia, National AIDS Commission of Liberia (NAC), International Women Peace Group-South Korea, and Ministry of Health & Social Welfare (Mental Health Department and Expanded Program on Immunization Unit).
YAL is currently a CSO Network Member of the West African Drug Policy Network (WADPN) Liberia Chapter, Liberia Drug Policy Coalition (LPDC), Youth RISE International, Civil Society Engagement Mechanism for UCH2030 Agenda, Civil Society for Malaria Elimination (CS4ME), Alternate Member of the Liberia Coordinating Mechanism, Liberia Immunization Platform, World Federation Against Drugs (WFAD), and member of the following organizations: Federation of Liberian Youth, Global Youth Action Network, Global Youth Coalition Against HIV/AIDs, World Association of NGOs (WANGO), Federation of West African Youth (FEWAY) and International Women Peace Group (IWPG) in South Korea.
